As you talk with the parents in your church about discipling their kids, keep a few things in mind – define the term, provide doable steps, and share resources to help them lead their family at home.

As we seek to help parents step into the role that God has created them for, I would say there are two main things we need to do: equip and encourage.

From preschool to the elementary years and eventually middle school, your role as a parent is to become your child’s biggest cheerleader and source of instruction and guidance through some big changes.

As we raise our children, we have the opportunity to help our kids mark distinct moments in their lives in such ways that will create some great memories. We can actually look to the Bible for precedence of this.

Transitions are a normal part of life that often produce strong feelings for parents and children. Excitement, anticipation, wistfulness, and uncertainty make these transitions important steps for a child and his or her parents.
